PIT OF GOBLIN player count
PIT OF GOBLIN supports solo play and up to six players online. The maximum increased from four to six with the 1.0 release.
How many players can join?
- Solo
- Supported on Steam and described by the official store copy.
- Online co-op
- 2–6 players on the Xbox capability list.
- Maximum lobby
- Six players in version 1.0.
- Matchmaking
- The official description mentions random teammates through matchmaking.
Why some pages still say four players
PIT OF GOBLIN spent Early Access as a four-player game. Friendly Foe’s 1.0 announcement explicitly says the goblin limit increased from four to six. Older guides, the developer’s older landing-page headline and cached snippets may still reflect the previous cap.
Use the dated 1.0 announcement and current platform capability lists for the launch-state answer.
Choosing a party size
Solo runs offer control but no teammate recovery or division of labor. Small groups are easier to coordinate and leave more loot decisions to each goblin. Larger groups can spread light, navigation, carrying and rescue roles, but they also create more friendly fire, noise and competition for supplies.
- 2–3 players: simple communication and flexible loot.
- 4 players: the original Early Access balance point.
- 5–6 players: more coverage and rescue capacity, with more chaos and coordination cost.
Quick answers
Is PIT OF GOBLIN a six-player game?+
Yes. The official 1.0 release raised the maximum lobby size to six.
Can I play alone?+
Yes. Steam lists single-player and the official description says solo runs are supported.
Is a more-players mod needed?+
No for groups of up to six. Version 1.0 supports six players officially, so old four-player mod advice is unnecessary and may be incompatible.
